Chaplaincy
Sheriff's Chaplains serve on call 24/7 for our employees and their family members. Our Chaplains serve by making notification to families of those who have been seriously injured or killed and respond to the hospital.

Communications
The Effingham County Sheriff's Office Communications Division serves as a vital link between the citizens and our Sheriff's deputies.

Community Policing Services
The Community Policing Services (CPS) office provides community training for a wide array of audiences.

Courts
The Judicial Complex (Courthouse) is served by the Courts Division which provides security to the Superior, State, Magistrate, and Probate courtrooms as well as judges and support staff.

Humane Enforcement
The Effingham County Humane Enforcement Deputies respond to animal issues county-wide. Deputies respond to all calls involving domestic animals and wildlife.

Patrol
Effingham County is divided into five patrol zones. Each shift consists of a patrol supervisor, assistant supervisor and certified sworn deputies.

Sheriff's Reserve
The Sheriff's Reserve Division was established under Sheriff McDuffie to augment in areas where additional manning could be beneficial.

Traffic Safety
The Traffic Safety Unit reduces traffic-related injuries and death through community engaged partnerships, traffic safety education, and enforcement.

Training
Training at the Effingham County Sheriffs Office is open to all certified law enforcement personnel in good standing unless the course is designated specifically for the Effingham County Sheriffs Deputies.

The Office of the Sheriff receives warrants daily.
