No. Due to our need for drafting from open water sources (ponds, lakes, rivers), and the fact that the inside of our tanks and hoses cannot be cleaned to guarantee water quality for safe use, we cannot fill swimming pools.
No, ECFR does not charge for any emergency response or non-emergency public assist requests.
Volunteers are required to submit an application with background check. We ask that volunteers maintain a minimum of 2 hours per month training, but more is always welcome. Training is available every Tuesday night from 7PM to 9PM, with more training opportunities at manned stations any day of the week. Once you have begun training and understand response protocols, your station officer will advise when you can begin running emergency calls.
