Interested in public service?  Effingham County has one board appointment opening for the Aging Services Advisory Council.

If you want to get involved with your community try something new, consider serving on the Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) Aging Services Advisory Council.  This council meets quarterly and the meetings are generally held Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Richmond Hill Quality Inn.  The requirements of the council are that the person must be over the age of 60 years of age and actively attend the meetings for a term of three years.  The role of this council is very important in as much as it meets with the CRC staff from time to time to review budgets, get updates on new programs, and provide input on how current and new programs are developed.  These activities enable the CRC to prove better services to the older adults in the Effingham County Community.
