The Effingham County Probation Office supervises “misdemeanor” probation cases.  These are cases sentenced in Effingham County State Court, Springfield Municipal Court, and The City of Guyton Municipal Court.  On occasion, an Effingham County Superior Court Judge may reduce a felony charge to a misdemeanor charge, which will result in the defendant in that case being supervised by this office.  If you were not sentenced in the above courts, please contact the originating court for questions about your sentence.  This office does not supervise juveniles, nor does it supervise adults on felony probation. 

 Location and Parking Information: We are located at 902 North Pine Street in Springfield, GA.  We are directly across from the “old” Effingham County Courthouse, which houses the Tax/Tag offices as well as GIS.  The Judicial Complex is located next to our office.  Our office is a small brick house that has been converted into an office building.  We have a white sign in front of our office indicating our hours and phone number.  You can park anywhere in the parking lots ACROSS the street from our office. You may use the FRONT DOOR.  Do not park in the grass in the front or side yards of our office.  Also, DO NOT PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY OF OUR OFFICE – THIS IS EMPLOYEE PARKING AND YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO USE THE SIDE ENTRANCE. Do not park in the traffic lanes of Pine or Rabun Street or you risk being towed and/or ticketed.  The office is equipped with a wheel chair access ramp. Directions:  From Downtown SAV/Garden City/Pt. Wentworth:  West Bay to 516, 516 merges into Hwy. 21 northbound, continue north.  When you enter the Springfield area, you will see the Effingham County Jail (tan complex surrounded by fencing) on your right. At the bottom of the hill will be a traffic light (Hwy. 119) – turn right. Go to the next light (Laurel St.) – turn left.  Go approximately 4 blocks, turn right onto Rabun St. (first street past the Judicial Complex). When you turn onto Rabun, the “old” courthouse will be in front of you.  Park there.

From Sylvania: Hwy. 21 southbound to Hwy. 119, turn left at light, go to next light (Laurel St.), turn left, following last of above directions 

From I-95: Take exit for Hwy. 21 Port Wentworth, go north on 21, following above directions.

From Statesboro: Hwy. 80 West to Stilson, left onto Hwy. 119, follow signs toward Guyton, continue on 119 to light at Laurel St., then follow last of directions above.
