County Ordinances

Definition
Violations which are considered misdemeanors, include infringements of such local laws as littering, failure to display mobile home decal, animal control citations, etc.

Court Arraignments
Are scheduled the 2nd Thursday of each month, when attending the arraignment you either plead guilty or not guilty.  If you plead guilty, the judge will set a fine for your violations and you must pay the fine in our office.  Community Service is an option if you are unable to pay your fine.

Court Hearings
Are scheduled for those who are demanded by the officer or the courts; to attend to plead your case.  The officer will be in court to testify to the violation upon you.  You will have a chance to speak on your behalf.  If you are found guilty, the judge will set a fine for your violations and you must pay the fine in our office.  Community Service is an option if you are unable to pay your fine.

I want to pay my fine before Arraignment, may I?
Yes!  You may call our office at 912-754-2124 and one of the clerks will let you know the amount of your fine.  You may come into our office and pay by cash, check, debit/credit card or money order.
