MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Effingham County Fire Department to protect life, property and the environment within the community through efficient fire prevention and suppression methods to the level of training, which has been received by its members and with the equipment, which it has been provided.
· We shall uphold the traditions of the fire service by never sacrificing the safety of its members and to provide them with the latest in training and firefighting techniques to the best of our ability and within our budgetary and practical allowances. Our training will continually be improved and reflect the ever-changing technological advances. We will share our successes, and listen and learn from others.
· We will continually make available mutual aid services to other fire departments within Effingham County to the extent that Effingham county residents are not left in danger.
· We shall maintain the highest level of customer service the community can be proud of while remaining fiscally responsible to the people of our community and shall strive to bring no dishonor upon the fire department or the community served by it.
· We value our staff members and their contributions; you are our most valuable resource. We seek your involvement and will strive to create a positive climate conducive to your improvement.
