Final Report - Effingham County Solid Waste Management Plan
The last revision to the County’s solid waste plan was in 2007. The purpose and need for a management plan is to plan for the future needs for solid waste services and determining the need to allow landfills within the County and if so, the locations and size of landfills. The County underwent this master planning effort to define what conditions and requirements might need to be incorporated into conditional use requirements for waste facilities within the County’s zoning code.
The public has a final opportunity to review the SWMP and make comments. Comments should be submitted in writing and sent to the County Engineer, Eric Larson, at email@example.com on or before November 12, 2021.
A public hearing will be held on November 16, 2021 at 5:00 pm during the regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting.
